This picture is just precious. Schafer, Karlee, Cason and Chalin
We just spent a great weekend in Haworth. This was the first weekend that all three grandkids were walking and able to play together. They had so much fun together. We are going to have to work with Cason on being gentle and may have to enroll Addison and Carley in self-defense classes. If Addy or Carley were sitting in the floor, Cason would charge them and tackle their sweet bodies. Chris and I play pretty rough with him at home and my dad always "wrestles" and rolls around with him in the floor. He doesn't quite understand yet that it's not nice to do that with everyone. Carley was such a trooper though. That little girl is tough. She was the smallest, not by a lot, but she held her own. Cason would tackle her and she would take it with a smile on her face. Of course, the next second they were giving each other kisses. We took the kiddos to the golf course Saturday night, and they were big fans. They loved running around, hitting the golf balls. Little miss Addy was quite the golfer. It was adorable; she would go up to the hole and place her ball about 1-2 inches away then tap it in. She's a natural.
Cason and I went for a play date to April's Monday and had more fun playing with great friends. We had pizza and strawberries and snicker doodles for dessert, "chicken noodles" as Schafer called them.
I've been feeling a little better lately. I was pretty nauseated and VERY emotional to say the least. I'm pretty embarassed and ashamed for acting that way because I now realize it was a selfish act. I was so wrapped up in "this isn't the plan" and "we aren't ready for another one" that I lost my faith in God. He knows what's best for our family and would only allow what's best. I also believe that God sent me Chris for a reason. He knew that I needed someone as patient and laid back, for my type A personality, as Chris. He was there for me through my melt downs and didn't complain. He was a shoulder to cry on when I needed it but not suffocating. We have an appointment with Dr. Jordan Friday and 9:30am, so I will be sure to update you all as soon as possible.
Okay now for a little bragging. I have to tell you what all our little 15 month old precious son can do now:
* Say mama, dada, papa, nana, thank you, ball, dog, tree
* Sign please, more, eat, thank you and milk
* Do the motions to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider"
* He knows where his nose is
* He says ta da with his hands raised high above his head with
excitement.
* He will show his huge muscles when asked.
* He loves to play "Ring around the rosie" (most of the time
spinning circles by himself in the middle of the room)
* He knows "how a cow goes" and "how a chicken goes"
* He can gobble like a turkey while shaking his head back and
forth in the cutest way ever.
* He takes medicine like a champ, loves to clean his own ears
out after the bath and loves to brush his own teeth.
Can you tell I'm a little proud? That small little boy makes me smile each and every day. When I'm having a bad day or not feeling well, I just have to spend some time with him and everything gets better. He is so happy all the time and I am so thankful for that. In fact, Holly, his teacher told me today when I picked him up that he is the happiest kid ever. She said, "He is always happy." We are so blessed with not only an amazing son but amazing family and friends.
