Fourteen months old!!!! This last fourteen months has been so exhilarating, exhausting, encouraging, rewarding and all around fun. Every day I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family. I look forward to each day to see what it may bring from my boys and me. Hopefully, it will bring a certain fourteen month old the confidence and balance to walk soon. The last few days he has started letting go of everything and taking a few steps, but also started throwing his head back while laughing at himself causing him to lose his balance and fall. It's quite comical and entertaining but not helping in the walking department. He has once again began kissing at daycare, but he's not monogamous anymore. He's obsessed with making sure everyone in the room gets a kiss, high five or knuckles...whichever one he decides to do must be done to everyone. The "knuckles" is a new trick he mastered in the last couple of weeks. It's so adorable to see his little tiny fist balled up ready to meet another fist, sometimes 3 times it's size.
Cason has also learned to say juice and is trying really hard to say Kortney. It's more of a "Korney" but I'm sure she'll take whatever she can get. LOL. Especially because that little rascal still won't say mama on command. He says dada with a very mischievous smile every time he's asked to say mama. Our little toddler boy will also sign "more" now and I think he's attempting to sign "please" but he's adjusting it to his liking. The original sign for please is performed by rubbing your palm on your chest in a circular motion. Cason's sign for please, is rubbing is hand on anything he wants to, sometimes it's just waving it in the air. For example the other night I was cooking and Cason had crawled in to the kitchen. He began grunting and pointing up at the cabinet where his cup was so I said, "Cason, say please" as I was performing the sign. Well, Cason then began rubbing the wood floor frantically and grunting even louder. After I realized what he was doing I couldn't quite laughing. Such a cutie!!!!
Cason is also now the proud owner of 6 teeth!!! He has three on the top in the front and one back molar on the top and two bottom front teeth. He's working hard on three other molars and has the drool and runny nose to prove it.
Some of the pictures above are from last Sunday when we joined Steve, Nanie, April, Schafer and Autumn from some fun that Steve and Nanie's house. Steve took the boys on an awesome wagon ride that they both thoroughly enjoyed. They rode to the pond to feed all the catfish. Schafer is a pro at feeding the fish, but this was Cason's first experience. Cason loved it!!! He would grab a handful of food and throw it with a hearty "oh" EVERY time. It was so funny. He was giving it his all. As you can tell, I took plenty of pictures, as did April. Our poor boys don't stand a chance. Between the two of us, there is always a camera in their face. I've always joked about this, but tonight reality struck when Cason crawled over and picked up my lens cap then crawled back to me and put it on my lens...right where it went. Poor Cason, doesn't stand a chance!!!!
