Cason is a whopping 8 months old!!!! Can you believe it? It's bittersweet for me because I'm so happy to see him play and intertact with people but he also has transformed into a little boy. I mean, don't get me wrong, his face is just as adorable as ever. It's just that it doesn't look like a baby face anymore. :-( In the last couple of days we have been feeding Cason his dinner just before ours is ready then leaving him in his highchair while we eat. We have been introducing "big boy" food to him and he LOVES it!!! So far, he has had...and liked: potatoes, cream style corn, green beans, carrots, broccoli, black eyed peas, macarroni and cheese, crescent rolls, and squash. It is so fun to have him at the table with us.
Cason is going to be changing daycares on the 21st of this month. We were able to get a spot in the Chickasaw Nation daycare, and we are so happy about the change. I'm a little nervous because I love his teachers at Monnie's, but I think it will be better in the long run. You see, the teachers he has now will only be his teachers for the next 4 months. The new daycare is a little cheaper, which is definately a plus. They also take the kids on field trips and they have water days in the summer. I feel like this is going to be a good move for Cason.
I'm still loving my new shift at work. It's so nice to be home as a family every night. The weekends haven't been too bad either. I am loving having 2 days off in a row during the week. I also work with some amazing nurses. I get to work with one of my best friends, Mandy and the nurse that trained me from the very beginning, Penni. Terra is the other one on our shift and she is a ton of fun to work with. She is so laid back and easy going. The four of us compliment each other well, and have a great time while working.
Cason still wants nothing to do with crawling. He can log roll very effeciently and can spin like a top on his belly, and that's enough for him. Granted, it may have something to do with the fact that he isn't in the floor for very long periods of time EVER. LOL!!! I guess he'll do it when he's ready. Not to make excuses, but our precious son has a bit of trouble because of this "build" (I guess that's what you call it.). He is so chubby and short, it's hard to get his tummy off the ground. Okay, so you're right...I am making excuses, but that's what mommas do, right?I mean, c'mon, he just got to where he could put his feet in his mouth about 4 weeks ago. Let me tell ya, we did a victory dance for that!
