That's right...NO FUN!!! Cason had his 2 month shots today...all 5 of them, all in his legs. I can't believe they have to have so many. He also had an oral immunization that tasted sweet so he liked that one. It was one of the hardest things I've ever been through. Cason was in such a good mood before getting the shots. He was smiling a ton and even laughed a couple of times when Dr.Ramadan was in there. It was so hard to give him over to the nurse knowing she was going to hurt him and he would be crying when I got him back. I'm so glad that he won't remember any of this. It seemed like it took forever. Cason didn't cry afterward, he screamed. I have never heard him cry like that. He cried for about 3-4 minutes. I cried for about 2 min. It was absolutely horrible. Laura the PA at the doctor's office said that sugar calms babies down and said that they give them sugar water prior to the circumcission. So, she brought Cason a sucker. A grape dum dum. Cason has had his first sucker...and he got it at the doctor's office. Pretty ironic, huh? He loved it. We let him have a couple of good licks and sure enough he quit crying. We then through it away...he didn't get the whole thing. :) He has slept ever since we got home. I held him for the first two hours after getting home. I didn't want to put him down. I wanted him to know that mommy loves him and hated that he had to get hurt. Gosh, just imagine how bad I'm going to be when he's playing ball and gets hurt...especially if someone else hurts him. I'm going to be the psycho mom that runs out of the stands, checks on her child, then gets on to the little boy that hurt him. LOL. Prior to receiving the shots Dr.Ramadan came in and checked him out and gave us another good report. He said Cason had great head control for his age and was impressed with how much he smiled. He also said Cason followed objects well. He was mesmerized by the mobile they had in the room. He told me that Cason should be sleeping from 10-5 every night, and that definately isn't happening right now. He still wakes up every 3-4 hours to eat. He told me not to feed him and to let him cry until he goes back to sleep. We will see how that goes. We are going to try it this weekend when Chris doesn't have to go to work. I'm not good at letting him cry. Please pray for us. Okay, now to the pictures. The first one was taken just before leaving to go to the doctor's office. I layed Cason on our bed while I changed my clothes and when I came out of the bathroom he had worked his left arm completely out of his sleeve. He has done it before when he was sleeping but it stayed in the sleeper. This time, it came completely out of the outfit. The next picture is in the doctor's office waiting room. The next 2 are with Chris and me before Dr.Ramadan came in. He is getting his oral immunization in the next one and Dr. Ramadan is assessing him in the next two. Finally, the last one is just a little bit ago. Poor little guy is still sleeping. He loves his swing now too. Hope you all enjoyed. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Cason weighed 11# 7.5oz and was 22 in long. His weight is in the 50% and height is 25%. C'mon, did you really think he would be tall?

Grant has that same outfit! I loved it on him. He's outgrown it now. =( I can't believe he got 5 shots. Grant's only gotten 3 each time. I love his smile! He's absolutely precious. Good luck with the sleeping at nights.
