Just a few more pics of our precious new addition. Kellan is 2 weeks old already!!! We had Kellan's 2 week check-up Monday and he passed with flying colors. He gained a whopping 10 ounces in 10 days. It was no surprise to me though, because he LOVES to eat. I don't think he's ever full. He also gained 1/2 inch, he was 6.11# and 19.25 inches. He isn't sleeping great but he's already sleeping better than his big brother did. Kellan just likes, or I mean loves, to be held. He will sleep great as long as someone is holding him. We are working on lying him down more, but I find it much harder this time around because I know it won't be long and he will not want to be held.
Nana K and Papa K came to visit Kellan on his 1 week birthday. Nana K had a bad fall and broke her upper arm just before Kellan arrived and had her surgery scheduled on the day Kellan was born. Really bad luck, huh? Cason loved playing with Papa K during their visit and Nana K got lots of Kellan loves.
Cason had a rough couple of days when we first got home...the typical tantrums and acting out in an attempt to get and keep mommy and daddy's attention. Thankfully, it only lasted a couple of days. He is much better now. In fact, when I went in to his room this morning the first thing he asked was "Baby?" He realizes now that "baby" is always going to be here. Don't get me wrong, Cason still has his moments but they are much more spaced out instead of on top of each other like they were at first. We also still don't lay Kellan down and leave the room. Even if he's in a bed, because Cason loves to throw things. LOL I have a feeling we will have lots of boo-boos in our future.
Everything is going really well in the Kates home. We are getting all settled in and in our routine. Chris goes back to work Monday, it has been so nice to have him here to help. We are just spending as much time as possible loving on and playing with both of our amazing and precious sons because we know they grow up too fast.
