We have kind of had a rough day today. It actually started last night. Cason woke up about 1.5-2 hours after going to sleep just crying, which is so unlike him. When he wakes up, he usually grunts and moans for about 5 min and either goes back to sleep or starts working up to a good cry. He rarely ever cries immediately. Well, he did that all night. He would only sleep for about 2 hours max. Chris got up with him around 7:00am and Cason was his normal happy morning baby until around 9:00am. He was sitting in his bumbo and just started crying loudly...more like a scream. You could tell he was hurting, but we had no idea what was bothering him. We went to my parents around 12:30pm. He continued doing the same thing...about every 1-2 hours he would just starting crying. When we were eating lunch my sister noticed he was playing with his right ear and I said, "Yeah, he found his ears. He was pulling at them yesterday too." It never dawned on me to put two and two together until my dad said, "I wonder if he has an earache." Okay...whose the nurse here? In my defense, every nurse that I've ever known will tell you that you lose almost all medical knowledge when it comes to your family...especially your child. :) Anyway, we took him to the ER and Dr.Thomas took a peek in his ears and they were fine. I must say, Cason was so good during the exam. Okay, so we ruled that out...what could it be? All we could think was that he is either teething or has bad gas that is bothering him. Kels and Kort went to town and got Cason some Pedialyte and at 7:00pm he took 3 ounces easily....and hasn't cried since. He still hasn't pooped either though, so I don't know what it was. Who knows what was bothering him...if only he could've just told us. Well, he tried once we got home. We were all 3 just haning out in the bed watching the Sooners play and Cason started telling us all about it. You can tell he's sad or hurt by his tone but it's honestly kind of cute. Hope you all enjoy.

sorry to hear about the rough nights. It's so hard when something is wrong and they can't tell you what it is. Cason is so cute and getting so big. The video was sweet. Hang in there. You're doing great.
