First Doctor's Appointment

Cason had his very first doctor's appointment today. We had to go back so soon so Dr.Ramadan could check his jaundice. He said he could tell it was getting much better so we didn't have to go have blood work. I was so thankful for that. Cason weighed 6# 10 oz and was 18 3/4 in long. Laura, the PA with Dr.Ramadan said that babies get measured too short all the time because it is so hard to straighten them out right after they are born. We also found out Cason weighed 6# 9 oz when we were discharged from the hospital. So, he is gaining weight...thank goodness. He passed all the reflex exams with flying colors. Dr.Ramadan said he was very smart and commented on how calm he was. Cason didn't cry through the entire exam. He said most babies are screaming by the end of it. Hopefully, Cason isn't just fooling us and he stays calm. He's laid back like his daddy now. Thank goodness he didn't get my type A, high-strung personality. LOL. After the appt we went to the hospital for his hearing test. They didn't have the equipment in when we were in the hospital, so they told us to come back today. Anyways, the nurse said Cason did great during his test.

The first picture is Cason lying in his pack and play under the flourescent light. We thought it was adorable how he hiked up his leg and put his hand over his face. Of course, there isn't much we don't think is adorable right now. The next two pictures are from today. He was a little teddy bear for his first trip outside. It kept him nice and warm and he was SOOOO cute. Chris got a little upset because there were a couple of people that asked if he as a boy or girl. Chris said, "Okay, mom, where is his camo outfit? People don't know if he is a boy or girl in this teddy bear outfit." It was pretty funny.
