Cason's first road trip

Well, Cason has now gone on his first road trip! We went to see Chris' parents this weekend, and Cason made the 3 hour drive like a champ. He was such a trooper. He slept the entire way down there, and we only had to stop once on the way home to change and feed him. Cason had lots of visitors while we were in. He got to meet most of his family on the Kates and Storey side. We had so much fun while we were down there, and Cason slept soooo good at his Nana and Papa K's house. He is so lucky to have so many people that love and care for him. I hope Chris and I can raise him to be as caring and loving as the rest of his family.
Also...a quick update on the bathing situation. Cason is doing much better. In fact, last night when Chris and I bathed him, he didn't cry at all. Score!!! We were so excited, but also kind of heart broken at the same time because we realized that it wasn't Cason that was having trouble with the bath...it was us. We weren't putting enough water into the bath and we weren't getting it warm enough. I felt like the biggest loser. Of course, Cason didn't like his bath, his parents were putting him into a small amount of cool water. I'm pretty sure I would be upset too if I was freezing cold. But, we are learning. Every day we learn something new about parenthood. This is the most rewarding and fun learning I've ever done!
P.S. Don't you love his big boy outfit? He looks like a little man. :)

You are ROCKIN the frequent updates! I'm so proud. I almost fell over with excitement when I saw not one but TWO new updates. Ya know...because there is nothing else I need to get done during Schafer's nap time. But this is way more fun than work!!! I love love love his pictures. My favorite is the one of you kissing his lips. So ridiculously cute. And it's funny that you mention the reason Cason hated bath time...I did the same thing the first time around, but I didn't say anything to you when you said he hated baths because I thought SURELY you were getting it warm enough. You just seem like a pro already...I'll have to remind myself next time that you are still a bit of a rookie. LoL ;-)

First off, LOVE the big boy outfit! So cute. Way to go on the bath. It's funny the things you figure out along the way. I think babies can handle more than we think. Grant loved sitting in a tub full of water--WARM water. I think it reminds them of the womb days. Thanks for the sweet comment. I am a lucky gal. Justin's awesome. Glad you survived the trip! It gets easier as they get older too. =)
