The dreaded dentist!!!
Well, I had a normal teeth cleaning appointment today which turned out to be anything but normal. I had the nicest dental assistant, and we talked a lot...in the brief moments she didn't have her fingers in my mouth...about the pregnancy and baby Cason. About 15 minutes into the cleaning I began feeling a little lightheaded. I tried to take slow deep breaths and get over it. I didn't want to be the difficult pregnant girl that could lie down long enough to get her teeth cleaned. I know your not supposed to lie on your back, especially when you are 33 weeks preggo, but I thought I was tough enough to do it just long enough for the cleaning. Well, I was wrong. I asked to sit up for a bit and started feeling better. The really nice dental assistant didn't make me lie down as flat when I started feeling better and she continued on. This is where it gets bad. I once again began feeling dizzy and noticed it was getting really hot in the room. I raised up the arms of my sleeves and tried to breathe through the "hot flash" I convinced myself I was having. Well, this hot flash didn't get any better. I started noticing I was seeing black after each blink, so I asked to sit up again. I could feel the color drain from my face and I felt so dizzy. I started feeling nauseated and asked for a trash can. I wasn't sure if I was about to pass out of throw up...I threw up. I couldn't believe it. I made it through 33 weeks and 5 days without throwing up. What the crap? Seriously, who throws up and almost passes out at the dentist office, especially when they are just getting their teeth cleaned? This is definately an experience I will never forget. The really nice dental assistant got me a cool rag for my neck and put a fan on me. She was so patient and kind and, by the way, she even finished cleaning my teeth after that...throw up breath and all.

Wow! Crazy story. Maybe you just had too much pressure on your aorta and it made you nauseated. Not much farther to go! I can't wait to see your pics of your little man. Boys are so awesome.
