It's been a while

Well, it's been a long 3-4 weeks. Sorry it's taken me so long to post a new blog. Not a lot has happened on our house these last 4 weeks. My uncle Darrell passed away on Nov 26. That was one of the hardest things my family has ever gone through. We've been lucky to have not ever had anyone so close to us pass away. His funeral was so nice, and it really couldn't have been better. There were so many people there, and the flowers were amazing. I have never seen flowers so pretty in my life. Darrell would have appreciated them a ton. So, thank you to everyone who sent things and especially everyone who kept my family in their thoughts and prayers.

We have started to stain at the house now. Dad is trimming everything, and we are tackling one room at a time for stain then paint. We have one room primed and ready for paint so that's exciting. We went with a dark stain and I love it. I'm so excited. We been slow to get back into lately due to the weather and also down spirits, but we will make it and get back on track soon.

Well, now for a little good news. Chris and I are PREGNANT!!!!! We are so excited. We actually found out the day before Darrell's funeral, which was bittersweet. It's amazing how God works. That was the best timing. He knew my family needed that. We go for our first ultrasound on Dec 21. I can't wait. We are about 6 weeks right now. I will let you know the definate due date after the ultrasound. Well, sorry this one is so long. It's been too long since I've posted anything. I will hopefully start posting more regularly again.
